I have some vintage piano music just crumbling and getting old. These bookmarks were made from cereal boxes cut to size and decorated with scraps of paper, fabric, beads, and ribbon using Mod Podge and hot glue. This is a dangerous hobby because you keep a lot of scraps and begin to hoard materials!

This is tea made from “weeds” that grow in your yard in spring. Violet petals, violet leaves, dandelion leaves, creeping charlie, and purchased rosebuds to make it even prettier were picked and dried to make this beautiful tea. It is a very mild flavor.

I just could not capture it on camera, so I have to remember it.

This turned out kinda cool. Paint Amazon boxes that your presents arrived in. Take old fabric and rip it into ribbon widths. Grab plants that are green in your yard (I used some evergreen stems and some box bushes stems), and you have really nice, free wrapping paper. The box on the right actually is wrapped with a plastic Amazon shipping bag turned inside out.

Take hard boiled eggs, place a leaf from your yard flat against the egg and hold in place with a cut of panty hose (clean!), and tie that. Soak in natural dyes (beet, green tea, cabbage, and I think it was turmeric) for about 12 hours. It turns out so lovely! I got the info about making the dyes online.

In the fall, you will find dried flowers and even weeds in your yard that you can use to decorate a pumpkin. Scoop out the inside of your pumpkin and just scrape only the skin off (or you can cut it like a jack-o-lantern if you want.). Hot glue your dried flowers to your pumpkin. A candle inside the pumpkin creates a warm glow. The hot glue sometimes has a hard time sticking to the pumpkin. You might need pins to help keep it in place.

Yeah, so this was supposed to be monster fingers for Halloween food. Crescent dough, green egg wash, and almond fingernails. They tasted good, even if they look disgusting!

Ok, so wut happened? I don’t know. Halloween food fail. Cookie dough, red frosting, little googly eye candies. Don’t look at the Pinterest version! hahahaha!

Hahahah! Another Halloween food fail. It looked way different on Pinterest. Apples, marshmallows, red frosting, and little candy eyes. It did turn out scary enough, though!

Just here for laughs: when you try stuff, there are lots of laughs and fails! You can carve faces in potatoes and bake them. Maybe yours will turn out better than mine!
